Yianna Foufas is an artist whose work explores the complexity of the human experience primarily through the figure. Her work is grounded in a sustained engagement with the expressive potential of the human figure. Gesture and anatomy function as psychological metaphors to translate intangible thoughts and emotional states into visual form. Her artistic practice is informed by a broader physical and emotional discipline. Outside of the studio, Foufas trains as a member of Team USA Beach Wrestling, deepening her understanding of the body as an instrument of instinct, endurance, and expression.

Foufas has exhibited her work at the New York City Art Expo and Hamptons Fine Art Fair and has worked with galleries and cultural institutions, including Detox Gallery and the National Hellenic Museum with their current exhibition The Odyssey: Reimagined. She is currently pursuing a B.F.A in Integrated Art and Design at East Stroudsburg University where she is and has had her work in school exhibitions such as their 2026 Spring Exhibition Deep Currents. Her practice spans traditional and digital mediums, with experience in oil painting, printmaking, Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, Nomad Sculpt and Fusion 360.  Whether through charged colors of a painting or an explosive takedown, her work seeks to articulate the emotional realities that language cannot contain. Foufas pursues a singular mission in making felt experience visible.
